Annual Exhibition

Gallery exhibition on the artistic styles of Art Deco and Art Nouveau.

Introduction

Creation of the entire brand identity for an art exhibition on Art Nouveau and Art Deco, including the logo, signage, and packaging.

Art Deco
An artistic style related to decorative arts that emerged in Europe in the 1920s, characterized by geometric shapes, ornamental lines, and primary colors, largely intended for mass production.

Art Nouveau
Primarily characterized by the use of shapes and motifs derived from nature, imitating plants and flowers, as well as forms of exotic animals such as dragons, peacocks, butterflies, and more.

The Logotype

The exhibition focuses on these two artistic movements, clearly differentiating between them to explain each one. The two letter A  that make up the logo were created from scratch to allow viewers to easily see the differences between the two movements.

Color Palette and Typography
For the colors, the aim was to break away from the style of each movement in order to prioritize their shapes and capture the audience's attention. The same concept was applied to the typography used, with Futura being a clean and clear font that can be seen as both modern and avant-garde.

Printed and Digital Formats

The promotional posters for the exhibition feature elements from both movements, utilizing the same vibrant colors that are present throughout the event. They blend geometric shapes and organic motifs characteristic of Art Deco and Art Nouveau, creating a visually striking aesthetic that draws the viewer's attention. Each poster effectively communicates essential information about the exhibition while maintaining a clean and straightforward design, ensuring clarity and accessibility.

Additionally, the use of artistic typography complements the overall visual style, making the text engaging and easy to read. The integration of iconic imagery from both movements not only highlights their historical significance but also invites the audience to explore the richness of these artistic expressions. Overall, the posters serve as both informative tools and artistic pieces that encapsulate the spirit of the exhibition.

The Museum Store

Decorative elements are required, such as murals that display iconic motifs and a palette of vibrant and soft colors that evoke the essence of both movements. Lastly, the merchandising includes products such as art prints, home decor, and fashion accessories inspired by these artistic movements.
