Brand identity for the Dominica Citizenship by Investment Programme
Introduction
I carried out the comprehensive development of the brand identity for the Citizenship by Investment Program of Dominica. This encompassed all aspects, from the creation of the logo to the meticulous design of the main website and all other materials, both printed and digital. This product involves obtaining citizenship in Dominica through a financial investment in the country. These funds will go towards the development and sustainability of the island.
The Audience
This is a product aimed at an audience with considerable purchasing power. Since potential clients will be disbursing a significant amount of money, the corporate image must convey credibility and seriousness. It is essential to note that the various design materials have been adapted to different global markets, considering the sociocultural factors of each region to reach diverse global audiences.
The Color Palette
The color palette has been selected to reference the essence of Dominica's charming landscape. I chose a refined sand color to reflect the beaches, while the purple tone pays tribute to the island's distinctive parrot species. Additionally, several carefully selected shades of green were used to symbolize the stunning natural wonders that enhance the destination.
The green color is a clear reference to the ecological and natural character of the product, while the purple alludes to its luxurious nature.
The Logotype
The logo serves as the centerpiece of the brand, with the parrot taking a prominent role, capturing the natural and majestic spirit of Dominica. This special parrot is found exclusively in Dominica and is also featured on both the flag and the coat of arms. This creates a connection between the three elements, making it easy to identify. The parrot symbolizes the strength, freedom, and majesty of both the island and the investment and citizenship program.
The Evolution of the brand
The brand positions itself as exclusive, catering to individuals of considerable affluence. However, it is equally committed to fostering a sense of approachability and warmth. To achieve this delicate balance, the typography selection strikes a harmonious blend of sophistication and friendliness, ensuring that it conveys an air of elegance while maintaining a welcoming and congenial aesthetic.
