Podcast

HUD is a podcast aimed at young people, where various topics related to history, culture, and current events are discussed.

Logo design

The most important thing when creating the logo was to convey all the strength and power of the topics to be discussed in the podcast. To do this, I decided to create a design that, despite its complexity, was easy to use and at the same time its audience could identify it and relate it to their industry and cultural topics.

With a slight retro touch and different details added in the form of emojis, the final design is colorful, dynamic and full of energy. The retro touch would refer to the historical and cultural character of the podcast, while the emojis and icons would represent the current state of social media.

Selected color palette and fonts

The color palette is made up of a wide range of saturated tones in order to play with each other and attract the viewer's attention. Likewise, a font with a marked character and personality was selected. The type of industry of this brand makes both its colors and its fonts vitally important since they will be used on social networks and must attract attention among all the content. For them, their combination is key to creating textures, contrasts and finishes in the final designs.

The origin of concepts

Statue figures have been used to promote the podcast, clearly referring to the historical nature of the topics that will be discussed in each episode. The tone of the podcast is what makes it different from other formats. Different reviews of history are made, seeking a relationship with current social issues. Therefore, in the designs we can see different textures and formats connected to the past, adding more personality.

Social Media

Most of the designs created for this brand are geared towards its promotion on social media. For this reason, it was decided early on to develop various styles using filters, bold typography, and vibrant colors, combining vectors and collages to offer a wide range of options and capture the audience's attention. This approach fosters a closer connection with the audience, as the style evokes the look of vintage newspaper and magazine posters through its freshness, contrast, and originality.

The Importance of Merchandising

Merchandising is important for a youth-focused podcast because it helps build brand identity and fosters a sense of community among listeners. It creates additional engagement, allowing fans to represent the podcast in their daily lives, while also serving as a marketing tool that increases visibility and attracts new listeners. Additionally, it can generate extra revenue to support the podcast's growth.
